Ben Snyder

Welcome!

I’m Ben Snyder, a sustainability and climate professional with experience in policy research, program management, and stakeholder engagement. My work focuses on supporting community resilience, environmental policy initiatives, and sustainable urban planning through grant-funded programs, strategic partnerships, and public engagement. I have collaborated with government agencies, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations to develop climate adaptation strategies, electrification policies, and community-led sustainability efforts.

Beyond my professional work, I’m a long distance hiker, cyclist, and trail runner, always planning new routes and adventures in Northern California. I enjoy woodworking and making furniture and household items, blending craftsmanship with practical design. I have a Wilderness First Responder certification and a strong interest in indoor and outdoor rock climbing, combining my passion for technical skills with exploration. With a longstanding interest in disaster planning and preparedness, I believe in the importance of building resilient communities—both in response to climate change and everyday challenges.
